(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A woman was hospitalized after accidentally being struck with a sword Tuesday.

Dispatchers say the incident happened about 10:45 a.m. at Deer Run Apartments in Lawrenceburg. A woman was reportedly struck by accident in the leg with a sword wielded by her boyfriend.

The victim was taken to Dearborn County Hospital. Her name and condition are not known.

It is unclear if the boyfriend faces charges. Dispatchers said Lawrenceburg Police are investigating the incident.
