(Milan, Ind.) - The Town of Milan has a new person watching over the town books and records.
Longtime Milan Clerk-Treasurer Gladys Moody died January 27 at the age of 76.
A new clerk-treasurer, Dale "Hobie" Holbert, has been appointed to fill the position, the Versailles Republican newspaper reports.
Holbert is a familiar face around town. He is a retired member of the Milan Volunteer Fire Department, a Milan Rescue 30 board member, and serves as a reserve deputy with the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
