(Ohio County, Ind.) – The Southeastern Indiana Recycling District (SEIRD) announces that Saturday, February 16, 2013 will be the final day for its Ohio County Reuse Center to be open in its 4154 State Road 56 location. The center will close temporary in preparation for its re-opening inside the new Ohio County Recycling & Reuse Center in the Barbour Business Park in Rising Sun.
Ohio County residents can continue to utilize the Switzerland/Ohio County Recycling Center, located at 19 McCreary Ridge Road in East Enterprise for their recyclables.
SEIRD’s new Ohio County Recycling & Reuse Center will open at noon on Friday, March 1, at 1432 Barbour Way. Their business hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, noon-5pm, and Saturday from 8am-noon.
A Grand Opening will take place on Saturday, March 16 from 8am-1pm. Light refreshments will be served. March 16 is also Ohio County’s free Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) disposal day, from 11am-1pm at the new Rising Sun facility.
The Ohio County Recycling & Reuse Center was funded in part by a grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation, with the support of the Ohio County Economic Development Corporation.
