(Miamitown, Oh.) - Hamilton County police were able to negotiate a peaceful end to a standoff in Miamitown Wednesday.

Deputies were called to an apartment on West Mill Street for a domestic violence report involving 46-year-old Timothy Sweeny and his daughter.

Sweeny threatened to shoot police, but surrendered without incident following a three hour standoff in the apartment.

Sweeny has been charged with Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing. He was taken to the hospital for a psychological evaluation.
