(Hebron, Ky.) – Boone County is at it again with job creation.
This latest declaration will mean up to 115 new jobs. Newly Weds Foods announced Monday that it will invest $57 million to establish operations at a facility located near the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Governor Steve Beshear was on-hand with company executives and Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed for the big reveal at Northern Kentucky University’s METS Center. The Governor’s office previewed the news conference by calling the item a “major economic development announcement.”
Newly Weds Foods specializes in batters, breading, spice blends, and other flavorings. Based in Chicago, the company owns and operates about 25 production plants and 20 laboratories.
Executives with the company said they expect to have the new facility up and operating by November.
