The East Enterprise Fire Department says the cause of Tuesday morning's fire at Countryside Cafe is still under investigation.

The blaze began in the rear of the restaurant near the bar, the department said. Firefighters were able to limit the fire to the kitchen, but smoke damage was done throughout the building.

Firefighters remained on scene until about 6:30 a.m.

East Enterprise firefighters were assisted by departments from Bear Branch and Rising Sun.

(East Enterprise, Ind.) - An East Enterprise bar was badly damaged in a fire Tuesday morning.

A first responder on the scene said the fire was reported about 4:45 a.m. at the Countryside Café near the corner of State Roads 250 and 56.

No injuries were reported.

The flames were out by 5:30. Fire crews remained on scene as of 6:00.

A cause of the fire is under investigation.
