Car Flips On US 52 In Franklin Co.

(Cedar Grove, Ind.) – Two people were injured when a car went off the road on U.S. 52 in Franklin County and flipped early Thursday morning.

 

Kellie J. Angel, 31, of Brookville, was driving east on U.S. 52 just east of Richland Creek Road at about 3:41 a.m., according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Angel’s 2006 Pontiac G6 ran off the south side of the roadway. She overcorrected and then went off the north side of the road where the vehicle struck a utility pole.

 

The car rolled over on its top, trapping Angel and a male passenger inside.

 

Angel was transported to Fayette Regional Hospital by Franklin County EMS 2 for complaints of pain. The passenger was also taken to the hospital for an arm injury.

 

The crash remains under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Cedar Grove Fire Department, Franklin County EMS 2, and Rescue 24.
