(Dearborn County, Ind.) – A home incarceration inmate is back in jail after breaking into a Dearborn County home.

At about 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Gary D. Miller, Jr., 21, of Dillsboro, allegedly broke into a residence on the 500 block of Main Street in Guilford. But, the homeowners were there and chased Miller away. A witness, Rick Broughton, saw the incident and began to pursue Miller.

Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies quickly arrived on the scene. The foot pursuit continued along Taylor Lane where Miller was taken into custody about 15 minutes after the break-in.

Miller is charged with Burglary, Residential Entry, and Violating the Home Detention Program. He was also wanted on warrants for Escape and Invasion of Privacy.
