(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Legal Volunteers of Southeast Indiana, Inc., will sponsor “Talk to a Lawyer Today,” providing legal assistance to the underserved on Monday, January 21st, as an annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This program is for Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne counties in Southeast Indiana. This is an opportunity for local attorneys to offer free legal consultations to the general public who might not otherwise be able to afford an attorney.
Legal Volunteers will be offering a telephone hotline. The hotline will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The call in numbers are; 1-877-237-0123 or 812-537-0123.
This is the 7th annual program which Legal Volunteers of Southeast Indiana has participated in. Attorneys will provide a 10 to 15 minute consultation to answer general questions and offer legal information for those who utilize this service.
A statewide hotline will be available for both English and Spanish - speaking callers by calling 1-800-266-2581 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST).
