(Bright, Ind.) - A man is in trouble for shooting a gun towards his neighbor’s home in a crowded Bright subdivision.
Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Lela Drive on Saturday, January 5. Raymond A. Dietz III was allegedly intoxicated as he was firing a .44 magnum handgun off his back porch.
Dietz told deputies he was shooting at a tree. Deputies saw that another home was the backdrop behind that tree.
Numerous shell casings and an empty shotgun shell casing were found on the porch and in Dietz’s kitchen.
Dietz, 47, has been ordered held without bond for five days on a charge of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon. He is also accused of violating his probation.
