(Rising Sun, Ind.) - There is a phone scam folks in southeast Indiana should be aware of.

Police in Rising Sun and Switzerland County have received complaints of a phone call that tells homeowners there has been a burglary in their area. Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills said the scam has also been reported in his county.

The caller, who claims to be with GE, then asks for account numbers.

The scam call comes from number (767) 275-4471. Rising Sun Police say if you see that number on your caller ID, do not answer.
