Teens Caused Trouble In Boone Co.

(Boone County, Ky.) – Three teenagers are accused of crashing a stolen car and breaking into other vehicles in the Burlington area.

 

Austin Collins, 18, of Independence and two juveniles ages 16 and 17, both from Covington, were arrested Sunday morning. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says the three were involved in the crash of the stolen car on Allens Fork Road in Burlington at about 2:40 a.m.

 

After abandoning the vehicle, the teens broke into several vehicles on Sarah Lane, Edgewood Drive, Sandersville Road, Catalpa Court, and Idlewild Road. Items ranging from a GPS unit and phone to a laptop and Chicago Bulls hat were taken.

 

Deputies caught them near Venetian Way in Burlington after responding to a call for theft from yet another vehicle at 6:10 a.m.

 

Collins and the juveniles are charged with Receiving stolen property valued over $10,000, Receiving stolen property under $10,000, Fleeing 2nd degree, Criminal trespass 3rd degree, Tampering with physical evidence, and Possession of marijuana.
