(Milan, Ind.) - Funeral services have been announced for a Milan murder victim.

Nancy Hershman, 68, was a homicide victim in her own home on West Ellis Street last Sunday.

Hershman was well known in the Milan community. She had been working for the past 25 years as a school bus driver and was a former special education assistant at Milan schools. Nancy and her late husband, William, who died in 2010, owned and operated Hershman Interiors in Milan for several years.

Friends say Hershman had a desire to help others, evidenced by her many years of service with Milan Rescue 30.

Hershman’s memorial services are scheduled for Saturday afternoon, January 5 at Milan First Baptist Church. The visitation will be held from 1:00-3:45 p.m. Her funeral will begin at 4:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Indiana State Police are asking the public for information that can help the homicide investigation. No arrests have been announced.
