(Indianapolis, Ind.) – An Indiana state senator wants the state's top performing schools to have the flexibility to set their own class schedules.
Sen. Mike Delph (R-Carmel) is proposing a bill that would allow administrators to forego the state's 180-day class schedule and make their own, as long as it meets equivalent classroom hours.
Delph told The Indianapolis Star the education reform debate has focused on under-performing schools and has left out the high performers.
