Hidden Valley Lake Polar Bear Plunge

(Hidden Valley, Ind.) - New Year's Eve partiers who might have trouble waking up on New Years Day can get an eye-opening rush.

Hidden Valley Lake hosts its annual Polar Bear Plunge at noon Tuesday located at the HVL Beach off of Lakeview Drive. Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m.

Folks taking the plunge into the lake are asked to wear protective footwear and bring a warm change of clothes for afterwards.

The water temperatures could be at or near freezing. The National Weather Service is calling for a high temperature in the low 30s with a 50 percent chance of snow on Tuesday.
