(Milan, Ind.) - A woman's death is under investigation in Ripley County.

Indiana State Police investigators at the Versailles Post say Nancy Hershman, of Milan, was found deceased in her home early Sunday morning. According to investigators, at approximately 1:00 a.m. a family member called 911 reporting they had found the 68-year-old in the residence at 607 West Ellis Street.

The investigation into Hershman's death is active and ongoing. The Ripley County Coroner's Office has not yet made a determination on the manner and cause of death.

"This is the only information investigators are releasing at this time. As further information is made available, updated information will be released," said ISP Sgt. Noel Houze.

The Indiana State Police, Milan Police Department, Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office and Ripley County Coroner’s Office are all involved in the investigation.
