(Osgood, Ind.) - A 25-year-old Ripley County man’s death is under investigation.

EMTs were called to a residence on State Road 350 a little East of Osgood at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 22. The person who called 911 reported a male unconscious and unresponsive.

Nicholas W. Meister was found dead there by the EMTs.

Ripley County’s Sheriff’s Office is investigating, but a news release said no foul play is suspected. An exact cause of Meister’s death may not be determined for several weeks until the Ripley County Coroner completes the report.

Meister was a 2005 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School.
