(Florence, Ky.) - A northern Kentucky man is still in jail awaiting trial for the murder of a coworker.

David Dooley, 38, is accused of killing Michelle Mockbee, 42, at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Florence last May. Dooley, who worked at the business as a janitor, maintains he didn't commit the crime.

A Boone County judge denied David Dooley's request for a reduced bond Thursday. He has been held at the Boone County Jail on $500,000 since his arrest in September.

The judge set Dooley’s jury trial for August 19, 2013. He faces charges of murder, kidnapping, and tampering with physical evidence. If convicted, Dooley could be sentenced to death.
