(Batesville, Ind.) - Batesville Police have arrested a Holton man in connection with a residential burglary last week.

The police department received a 911 call last Thursday, December 13 at about 2:30 a.m. A resident on Western Avenue reported that someone was stealing items from his garage.

Sgt. Danny Hamilton responded and apprehended the suspect as he was attempting to get away in a vehicle. The suspect was identified as Gary Grigsby, 38, of Holton.

Sergeant Hamilton’s K9 partner, Jinx, also alerted on the Grigsby’s vehicle for drugs. A subsequent search turned up drug paraphernalia.

Grigsby was arrested for Residential Burglary (Class B felony) and Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor). He was booked into the Ripley County Jail.
