(Hebron, Ky.) - A Hebron man will serve six years in prison for a fatal hit and run, the Kentucky Enquirer reports.
Daniel Gose, 27, was driving on River Road in Hebron last June 3 when his vehicle struck John Pernell, 18, who was walking along the road as he returned home from a party. Gose fled the scene. Pernell died there.
A sheriff’s deputy stopped Gose on North Bend Road shortly after the crash. The vehicle had damage to its windshield and roof.
A Boone County judge sentenced Gose on Wednesday. He had earlier pleaded guilty to charges including second-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, driving with one headlight, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and having an open container.
Gose was given credit for time he has served in jail since the accident.
