(Jefferson County, Ind.) - A fatal accident on State Road 62 on the west side of Madison just North of State Road 256 Monday evening.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Department deputies on scene say a SUV was traveling southbound in the northbound lane. The SUV collided head-on with a truck pulling a trailer at about 5:22 p.m.

Levi Pettir, 37, of Carroll County, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the other truck, Tracy Schewene, 44, of Milan was not hurt.
