(Boone County, Ky.) – A Florence man died in a motorcycle crash Sunday.

Boone County deputies say Christopher Haddox, 48, lost control of the motorcycle on the 10000 block of Big Bone Road at about 4:00 p.m., WLWT-TV reports. The bike then hit a utility pole and a fence post.

Haddox was taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence where he was pronounced dead.

Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

The crash is still under investigation.
