(Warsaw, Ky.) - A two vehicle crash in Gallatin County killed one person and injured three others Friday morning.
Gallatin County dispatch received a call of a crash on U.S. 42 approximately two miles east of Warsaw at 7:36 a.m.
State police troopers said Maria Miller, 26, of Warsaw, was driving west on U.S. 42 with her two children when the child in the back seat of the vehicle got out of the seatbelt and stood up. Miller turned to get the child to sit down and her vehicle crossed the center line of the roadway.
Miller’s vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Joseph Gripshover, 30, of Warsaw.
Gripshover, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.
Miller was transported by Gallatin County EMS to the University of Cincinnati Hospital where she is in stable condition. One child was flown by aircare and one was transported by Gallatin County EMS to the University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Both children are in stable condition.
