(Dillsboro, Ind.) - An 11-year-old girl and her uncle are making progress in their recoveries after an ATV crash last month in Dearborn County.
Emily Langdon and her uncle Mike Langdon, 40, were both seriously injured in the accident in Dillsboro on November 18.
Family friend Brian Emerson said Emily is now breathing on her own as she recovers from a serious head injury suffered in the accident. The Dillsboro Elementary School 6th grader remains at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
“She is still in a coma, but making small, positive steps in the right direction,” Emerson said.
Her uncle Mike Langdon, of Moores Hill, was transferred from University Hospital in Cincinnati to the Drake Center to begin his rehabilitation this week.
Both the Langdons were wearing helmets at the time of the ATV crash, conservation officers said.
The family needs donations to help cover medical expenses. You can donate to the Langdon Family Benefit Fund at any Fifth Third Bank branch.
