(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Put down the Thanksgiving leftovers and grab your skis and snowboards. Perfect North Slopes is getting ready to open for the first time this ski season.
Thanks to recent cold temperatures, the Dearborn County ski area – one of only two in Indiana – has been able to create enough snow to open a limited amount of slopes with two lifts operating.
Perfect North will be open Friday at noon and closing at 9:30 p.m. The facility will also be open Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This will be just the third time in Perfect North’s 33 year history that it will be able to open in November.
The slopes will close next week as the weather warms up again. A high in the mid-60s is forecasted for Monday.
