image(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit detectives may have solved a couple home burglaries in the Bright area.

A home on Augusta Drive in Dearborn County was burglarized June 11. The homeowners told police that electronics and a shotgun were taken.

More than a month later on July 24, a home on Jenny Lynn Drive in Bright was hit by a burglar. Detectives alleged thousands of dollars worth of jewelry had been swiped.

Detectives found that some of the stolen items were pawned for cash in Cincinnati and identified Brandon L. Britton, 29, of Lawrenceburg, as a suspect. During questioning, Britton allegedly admitted to at least one of the break-ins.

Britton, who had been held in Hamilton County for a Receiving Stolen Property charge, was brought to Dearborn County on November 16. He is currently scheduled to go to trial for Burglary (Class B felony), Theft (Class D felony), and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary (Class B felony) charges on March 11, 2013.
