A 25-year-old Aurora man died in a crash on Billingsley Drive early Monday morning.
According to Aurora Police, at about 12:34 a.m. a 2003 Dodge truck driven by Aric A. Shinkle, 25, of Aurora, was traveling westbound on Billingsley Drive when it traveled off of the roadway. The truck collided with multiple trees before coming to a stop on the front lawn of 109 Billingsley Drive.
The passenger, Robert S. Martin, 25, of Aurora, was extricated from the vehicle by the Aurora Fire Department.
Both Shinkle and Martin were transported to Dearborn County Hospital. Martin was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
Shinkle was later transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital where his condition is unknown.
The crash remains under investigation by the Aurora Police Department.
The Aurora Police Department was assisted by the Aurora Fire Department, Aurora EMS, Lawrenceburg EMS, The Dearborn County Coroner’s Office, and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.

(Aurora, Ind.) – A fatal crash occurred early Monday morning in Aurora.
Emergency crews were called to a report of a single-vehicle accident in the 100 block of Billingsley Drive, just off U.S. 50, at about 12:30 a.m.
The person who died has not been identified.
Aurora Police are investigating the accident. They could release more information sometime Monday.
