(Franklin County, Ind.) – Three Cincinnati residents have been arrested on allegations that they committed multiple home burglaries in Franklin County and other nearby areas.
Angella J. Dusa, 45; Derek P. Nuckols, 24; and Matthew N. Carger, 27, are each charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary (Class B felony). Dusa faces additional charges of Possession of Stolen Property (Class D felony) and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (Class C misdemeanor).
About 1:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Drewersburg Road and Carolina Trace Road in Franklin County’s Whitewater Township. The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle suspected in several area burglaries.
Once on scene, deputies located the trio who were already suspected in other burglaries. They were allegedly preparing to burglarize a house near the intersection of Drewersburg and Carolina Trace.
The investigation is ongoing to determine their involvement in numerous burglaries in Franklin and Dearborn Counties in Indiana, and Butler and Hamilton Counties in Ohio.
All three were arrested and taken to the Franklin County Security Center in Brookville. Carter and Nuckols remain in the Franklin County Security Center in lieu of $25,000 bonds. Dusa was released after posting bond, and is awaiting her court appearance.
The sheriff’s department said the arrests were made possible thanks to several tips from the community.
