(Vevay, Ind.) - The Switzerland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting.

A shot was fired in the 500 block of State Road 56 in Vevay on Sunday. The Madison Courier reports a 21-year-old man was rushed to Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison then later aircared to a Louisville hospital. The victim was reported in stable condition.

Sheriff Roy Leap said there were no suspicious circumstances about the shooting.
