Girls on the Run 5K MMCH

(Batesville, Ind.) - On Nov. 10, more than 450 participants from the Girls on the Run program took part in the Run the Park 5k. Held at the Versailles State Park, this event served as the grand finale for the fall session of Girls on the Run.

Sponsored by Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Girls on the Run is a nationwide after-school program held in the spring and fall for third through fifth grade girls (and sixth through eighth grade girls in select locations.) The program inspires girls to be healthy and confident using a curriculum which integrates running. This fall, the program was offered at the following sites: Batesville, Sunman, Milan, South Ripley, North Decatur, South Decatur, Jac-Cen-Del, Greensburg, the Southeastern Indiana YMCA and the Decatur County YMCA.
