(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard has won the 2012 Hope in Heels Foundation Award for Outstanding Prosecutor.
The Hope in Heels foundation offers annual awards to recognize Prosecutors, Victim’s Advocates and Child Protection Workers/Investigators for their excellence in working with victims of violent crime and their reputation for being sensitive, consistent, creative, and determined in doing so. Aaron will be honored on December 7, 2012 at the Embassy Suites in Covington, Kentucky. Prosecutor Negangard was instrumental in establishing the Region 15 Childrens Advocacy Center in Dearborn County. This Regional Center provides services to children who have allegedly been victims of violent crimes. Since opening in 2009, the CAC has provided services to almost 1000 children from 20 counties in Indiana and five states.
Hope In Heels is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 2005, by the five adult women of the Besse family, in an effort to acknowledge the work of those who work in the greater Cincinnati community as advocates for victims of violent crime. The Foundation is committed to making a positive impact on the victim services industry, by providing support and recognition to outstanding individuals and organizations working with victims of violent crime. Hope in Heels promotes collaboration, education, and understanding in the field of victim services and criminal justice, and strives to increase awareness about the level of dedication amongst those in the field.
