(Burlington, Ky.) - The recount of votes in Boone County may be over if Cathy Flaig decides it is.

It was a 74 vote difference in favor of incumbent Gary Moore over Flaig on election night for the Republican nomination of county judge-executive.

The Boone County Clerk says after a manual recount of more than 12,000 ballots completed Friday there are a handful of paper ballots to be reviewed, but not enough to change Moore’s win.

Some electronic votes from e-Slate and handicapped voting machines remain uncounted. Flaig has the opportunity to pay for those votes to be reviewed or call off the recount and concede the election.
