(Florence, Ky.) - A local sports team is hoping its donation drive for Hurricane Sandy victims is a hit.

The Florence Freedom are collecting donations for Matthew 25 Ministries from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today through Friday, November 9. Drop off yours at the gift shop at Freedom Ballpark, 7950 Freedom Way off Interstate 75.

The most needed items are toiletries, gently used clothing, and bottled water.

All residents who pitch in with a donation will be treated to two complimentary tickets to see the Freedom in action at home on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

The donations will be transported to Matthew 25 Ministries by Two Men and a Truck before heading to the East Coast.
