Calvin Robbins Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center |
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A man who drew dirty pictures on the bathroom walls of a local fast food restaurant is being given probation.
Calvin D. Robbins, of Dayton, Ohio, was arrested in June when police caught him using a permanent marker to draw obscene images in the bathroom at the McDonald’s in Lawrenceburg and Greendale. They were images you might expect from a 13 or 14-year-old boy, but not a 71-year-old man.
On October 19, Robbins pleaded guilty to two counts of Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors, both felonies. In exchange for the plea, the state dismissed three other charges of Criminal Mischief and Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors.
As part of a negotiated plea agreement, Robbins will do six years probation and pay court costs and fees. He was also ordered to pay $300 in restitution and stay out of the restaurants.
Robbins went to the McDonald’s restaurants in Lawrenceburg and Greendale on four occasions last January and February while his wife went to gamble at local casinos. During his time at the restaurants, Robbins drew lewd pictures and wrote nasty phrases on the restaurants’ restroom walls.
Robbins was caught when a McDonald’s employee recognized him and called police. When officers went to question Robbins, they found him in possession of a black permanent marker.
