(Dry Ridge, Ky.) – Kentucky State Police have a suspect in custody after an armed robbery and car-jacking in Grant County.
The Grant County Drug Store on Barnes Road was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday morning. A male wearing two bandanas and a black hoodie was given the pills he demanded and left the store.
The robber drove off in a tan Oldsmobile Bravada heading west on Barnes Road towards Interstate 75. The car was found abandoned on Barnes Road a short time later.
Troopers learned that the vehicle had been taken during a car-jacking before the robbery. A male subject got into the Bravada and made the female driving it drive him around for about ten minutes. He then had her exit the vehicle on Industrial Road and proceeded to the drug store.
