New information has been released on a serious head-on collision in northern Dearborn County Thursday morning.
A vehicle driven by Christopher J. Groce, 21, of Brookville, was heading east on State Road 46 when it went left of center and hit a second vehicle driven by Bonnie Sams, 55, of Connersville, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.
All of the occupants in Sams’s vehicle were taken to the hospital and released, except for one that was flown by helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati. That victim will be observed overnight.
Groce was not injured.
Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by St. Leon Fire and EMS, Sunman Fire and EMS, Bright EMS, and University Air Care.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Aircare was called to transport at least one victim of a crash on State Road 46 in Dearborn County.
The two-vehicle accident happened at about 5:50 a.m. Thursday on SR 46 just west of Trojan Road in the St. Leon area.
Aircare landed at East Central High School to transport the victim to the hospital. That person’s name and condition were unavailable.
The crash, which is being investigated by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, closed State Road 46 for nearly an hour.
