Carlos A. Posas was apprehended by Kentucky State Police at a home in Trimble County, where he had relatives. He is charged with two counts of Class A Felony Child Molesting and two counts of Class C Felony Child Molesting.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Posas was the live-in boyfriend of a woman who resided on Mobile Drive in Lawrenceburg. The woman has three children – two daughters ages four and nine, and a six-year-old son.
One of the children had reported to a family member at least two weeks earlier that Posas had inappropriately touched her.
Lawrenceburg Police were called on Sunday, June 13. The children were interviewed further at the Dearborn County Region 15 Child Advocacy Center where more allegations were brought to light.
Posas may have just slipped away from Lawrenceburg Police when officers went to question him later that day. Officers noticed somebody in the mobile home but when they gained entry it appeared Posas had ran off through the back door.
The mother of the children told investigators that Posas had family in Kentucky and may try to flee to his native country Honduras. Dearborn County Communications dispatched a radio bulletin advising Posas was wanted for questioning.
If convicted on all four molestation charges, Posas faces a maximum sentence of 116 years.
