(Hamilton County, Oh.) – A $12 million construction project on Interstate 74 may be wrapping up soon.
Final pavement work will require various lane closures on Interstate 74 the week of October 22, the Ohio Department of Transportation said Monday. Lane closures will be on east and westbound I-74 over Ohio 128, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday, October 22 through Friday, October 26.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to each work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone, an announcement from ODOT said.
Crews have been working on replacing the I-74 overpass over Ohio 128 since 2010. During that time, motorists from Harrison, Dearborn County, and other areas commuting to work in Cincinnati have had to battle frequent delays and lane closures caused by the construction.
