(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg City Council is making plans to get the 2013 city budget in order this week.
Council and Mayor Dennis Carr have been trying to work out the new budget for the past couple months. Proposed property tax cuts, city employee raises, several budget ordinances are part of the discussion.
A new city budget must be adopted by November 1.
Council will meet Monday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., when the budget could be adopted. Both meetings held at Lawrenceburg City Hall’s Council Chambers, 230 Walnut Street, are open to the public.
