(Miamitown, Oh.) - A teen is lucky to be alive after getting swept into the Great Miami River in Colerain Township last night.
Hamilton County water rescue crews were called to the river after somebody reported seeing the teenager clinging to a piece of wood around 9:15 p.m.
He was pulled from the water almost an hour later somewhere between Miamitown and Dravo Park near East Miami River Road. An ambulance then transported him to the hospital for possible treatment of hypothermia.
Reports say the teen may have been fishing on the river bank off of Blue Rock Road in Colerain Township when he fell in.
