(Milan, Ind.) – Milan Police say two juveniles are behind a recent act of vandalism at Baker Memorial Park.
Renovations were nearing completion at the youth football field at the park when somebody used a vehicle to do donuts on the field, ripping up the newly sprouted grass, the night of October 3.
Milan Town Marshal Gary Skaggs says a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have admitted to causing the damage to the field. They were identified and questioned after a witness came forward, Skaggs said.
Skaggs says the teens each face a preliminary charge of Criminal Mischief, with the case being forwarded to the Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday for further consideration.
