(Batesville, Ind.) - The campaign for Indiana’s U.S. Senate seat will come to our area on Monday.

Indiana State Treasurer and Republican nominee Richard Mourdock is running against Democrat Congressman Joe Donnelly to succeed Richard Lugar in the Senate.

Mourdock will appear at a fundraiser and lunch Monday at the Sherman House Restaurant in Batesville. The event begins at noon.

Tickets range from $1,000 for a host, to $50 for individual tickets.

The fundraiser will occur on the same day as Mourdock and Donnelly's first debate. The two candidates will meet in Indianapolis for the debate Monday evening.
