(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Five new businesses will open their doors in downtown Lawrenceburg this evening.
Lawrenceburg Main Street announced the winners of its first ever Pop-Up Shop contest last month. Each of the five businesses will receive free rent and utilities for three months, with larger hopes that they will stay in downtown Lawrenceburg long term.
The “pop up” aspect of the promotion rings true. Less than two weeks after being selected, the businesses will swing open their doors Thursday.
Four of the businesses are on Walnut Street: DJ’s Bakery, Eventful, Edgewood Designs, and Hidden Treasures Gift Shop. Sacksteders Interiors will be open on East Center Street.
Marking the grand opening night is a ribbon cutting ceremony at Sacksteder’s Interiors at 5:30. All the stores will open by 6:00 p.m.
The public is invited to check out the new stores.
Eagle 99.3’s Russ Roberts will be broadcasting live from each of the shops from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
