(Greendale, Ind.) – The City of Greendale will open bids for a new city pool on October 18.
The Greendale Park Board will meet to open bids for construction companies seeking the contract to build a new pool at the city park. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the City Utilities Building, 510 Ridge Avenue.
Greendale’s former city pool was retired after 62 years in service. It has already been demolished, with nothing but a large mud hole remaining in its place.
City leaders hope that the new $2.4 million pool can be open by Memorial Day 2013.
