(Indianapolis, Ind.) - If you plan on casting a ballot in the November 6 election, you had better be registered to vote.
The voter registration deadline in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky is next Tuesday, October 9.
“Hoosiers who fail to register will not be able to vote on November 6,” said Secretary of State Connie Lawson. “The voter registration deadline is right around the corner. I encourage everyone who is not registered to register today to make your vote count.”
In order to register, Indiana residents should visit IndianaVoters.com, their local county clerk’s office or any Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branch. Voters can also mail their registration with a postmarked date of October 9.
Hoosiers unsure of their registration status can also find out if they are registered at IndianaVoters.com. Voters can also request an absentee ballot and verify their polling location on the website.
Those who need to register are urged to not wait until the last minute, especially considering Monday, October 8 is Columbus Day and many government offices will be closed.
