(West Harrison, Ind.) - A person was aircared to the hospital following a crash on Interstate 74 in West Harrison early Thursday morning.

The single-vehicle crash occurred just before 3:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes near the Brookville exit.

Dispatchers say one person was injured and aircare was called to take that victim to the hospital. There is no word on the person’s name or condition.

Other motorists have reported heavy fog in that area Thursday morning.

Emergency crews cleared the scene at about 5:30 a.m. The crash remains under investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.
