(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg Community Schools students get to school the old-fashioned way Wednesday.
They’re ditching the bus and walking instead.

Students can join walking school buses supervised by adults. Several meeting locations have been set up throughout the district in Greendale and Lawrenceburg.
Students making the walk this morning will be greeted at school by principals dressed up as cheerleaders. They’ll also be treated to a free breakfast.
Drivers in Greendale and Lawrenceburg are asked to use extra caution Wednesday morning. Police and fire department vehicles have been stationed throughout the area with lights flashing in an attempt to slow down motorists.
