(Elrod, Ind.) – A woman was hospitalized after being ejected from her vehicle in a crash on Monday.
Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills said deputies responded to the accident at about 5:54 p.m. on Friendship Road south of U.S. 50 in Elrod.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found Jessilyn Pickett, 27, of Versailles, had been driving a silver 1999 Chevrolet Blazer south when her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned.
Pickett was ejected from the vehicle. She was the only occupant, Grills said.
Pickett was transported by Rescue 69 to Margaret Mary Community Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The accident is currently under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
