ISP Collect 2+ Tons Of Old Prescriptions

Pills(Versailles, Ind.) – Lots of old and unused prescription medications were handed over to Indiana State Police last weekend.

 

The Indiana State Police once again partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration and other law enforcement agencies from around the country for the fifth “Drug Take Back” initiative on Saturday, September 29. 

 

Nearly every Indiana State Police post participated in the event, including the Versailles Post where 29 pounds of old and expired drugs were dropped off by citizens. The Versailles collection was added to the statewide total of 2,319.5 pounds. 

 

This year’s total is an improvement over the same event last fall when 1,839 pounds of drugs taken in at posts across Indiana.
