Aurora Policeman Pleads Not Guilty To Battery

(Aurora, Ind.) - A not guilty plea was entered by a former Aurora Police Officer in Dearborn Superior Court I Monday morning.

Roger L. Grammer II, 30, appeared in court wearing an orange jumpsuit as family members looked on.

 

He faces a misdemeanor charge of Domestic Battery. He entered a not guilty plea to Judge Jon Cleary.

 

According to court documents, Grammer and a woman were arguing over a cell phone when he allegedly pulled her out of her car and knocked her to the pavement in the parking lot of Manchester Elementary School. He was off-duty at the time.

 

Grammer’s next court appearance will be a pre-trial conference on July 28. His bond was set at $1,000 cash and $1,000 surety.

 

He resigned from the Aurora Police Department on Friday.
